The Gift

Last year I did something deeply gratifying.  I gave away my gifts on my birthday.  It was incredible.  

I had read a few posts that were pinned on Pinterest about others who had done the same.  It gave me inspiration to do it myself around my hometown of Memphis.  If there ever was a town that needs extra blessings...it's Memphis, Tennessee.  

I wrote about it last August so that I wouldn't forget all that I had done and experienced.  You can read the post here, 36 Birthday Blessings, giving (instead of getting) on your birthday.  I hope that it, too, serves as inspiration for you for your birthday this year.  Or really...for any occasion.  Who needs an excuse to give?  Are we are required to give of our love and blessings to others?  Those that have been blessed have the greatest opportunity to give the most.  But you don't need riches to give, do you?  You just need a happy heart and a good smile and a whole lot of love.
